The design was based on adding three floors over an existing structure composed of two floors. This design carried many challenges retaining to the shape of the site and the form and structure of the existing building. However, by redesigning the entire facades of the first 2 floors and redesigning the structure of the existing building we were able to reconfigure the interior space to add three more floors each configured to the needs of their different residence. Another important aspect in this design was the reuse of conventional local stone materials in different forms and configuration to produce a very modern design.
