This five-story building had an already existing two floors and we tasked with redesigning the entire building facades while adding 3 floors above the existing building. The family-owned residence was composed of 5 floors each designed to abide to their respective tenant's needs. the challenge was redesigning an entire existing building with each floor functioning differently while producing an architectural form that doesn't conform to the standardize building practices in the area.  Through a complete makeover of the interior spatial configuration of the building and exterior facades, and with the manipulation of the masses, extrusions, and use of non-conventional stone materials and stone meshes, the final product produced an unconventional simple and modern building that stands out within its surrounding.
